What is GRuB?

Garden Raised Bounty (GRuB) is non-profit organization focused on building community through gardening. The organization offers a CSA Program, local markets, youth programs, community outreach programs, and more.

GRuB has a strong interest in supporting local youth. They have created multiple programs to encourage leadership, respect, and camaraderie amongst participants. Program participants build gardens in the communities, at homes for low income families, participate in running the CSA program, and sell vegetables at their local market. Certain programs at GRuB offer credits for high school students, such as Practice of Sustainable Agriculture, Introduction to Business, and Entrepreneurship. They even offer summer school education credits for Capital High School students. Youth learn valuable skills in leadership to be the difference makers this world needs.

The Kitchen Garden Program organized by GRuB has built over 2,200 gardens in the South Sound by providing free seeds, raised beds, and workshops and mentorships. Creating home gardens has increased consumption of fruits and vegetables continues to teach healthy eating habits in children.

GRuB is near and dear to the Olympia Pediatrics family. They graciously installed our original three beds into The Children's Garden. They are dedicated to helping spread sustainable agriculture throughout the community.
