Zucchini

What am I?:                  I am a vegetable and am part of the squash family.  What other squash do I look like, but only different in color?

When do I

grow best?:                   I am a summer squash.  That means I planted in the spring  and picked in the summer.


 

What vitamins and

minerals do I have?:   I have more potassium than a banana!  I am also high in  vitamin C and magnesium.

 

How do you eat me?:  A lot of ways! I can be put into muffins, made into breads, stuffed and baked, put into soups, and much more.


Fun Fact!:                    The largest zucchini in the world is 69.5 inches long!
